I’m old enough to know that a longer life isn’t always a better one. In the end, you just get t i r e d; tired of the s t r u g g l e, tired of l o s i n g e v e r y o n e that matters to you, tired of watching everything you love t u r n t o d u s t. If you live long enough, the only certainty left is that you’ll end up a l o n e.
Okay, not to suddenly become the Fan Theorist type of Doctor Who fan, but I have a legitimate question:
Seeing the various doctors next to each other gives you a far better idea of their unique heights and builds than just a list of their heights. According to the Law of Conservation of Mass, matter cannot be created or destroyed, just changed. Considering there’s an explanation for everything in the Doctor Who universe, I would just like to know:
Does the Doctor always have the same amount of matter? Is it simply converted into different aspects? (Denser bones? More/less hair?) Or is extra matter expelled post-regeneration? (I mean, look at Tom Baker vs. Sylvester McCoy. I know they weren’t back-to-back, but comparatively speaking, Sylvester is like a little shih tzu I could carry in my purse forever and ever.)
And if that was the case, how would larger doctors suddenly gain more matter for additional height/mass/etc.?
Am I overthinking things, or has this been previously discussed?
“I hate that Ten and Eleven get an insane amount of attention (I like them both though) while Nine is half forgotten. Good luck trying to mind much merchandise of him anywhere. He was more unique and deep than the newer two but since he’s not a dorky, cute, young nerdy guy they can fantasize about, fangirls don’t like him as much. He deserves more love and appreciation.”
